Turtles in Time in Cowabunga Collection has wrong music sync & speed

I first noticed this discrepancy when I realized I wasn't able to properly dodge the timer bomb the way I normally do. So I set a timer on my phone and confirmed that the bomb drops at the same time in both MAME and CC. That means the music was off, so I compared them and here is the result.
CC renders the HUD and stage elements differently, and the music starts slightly later compared to original hardware and MAME (refer to the peaks in the waveforms; top waveform is CC and bottom is MAME). The song is slightly slower as well. Over time the difference becomes more and more obvious as CC's music lags behind original hardware and MAME. This happens unive...

Looking at the Arcade version all these years later. I can honestly say the animations were better than the SNES version. But the home version had enhanced music and combos.
I also appreciate the sound quality with these tunes on the SNES version more than the arcade systems sounds
It would be nice if you can explain how to do all these moves like the tackle and special, etc

What does all red dip switches mean?
They are custom game settings added in an update. They make the game much harder than gnarly mode.

Update: I have since discovered that playing this game on FightCade, which uses the Final Burn Neo emulator, also has this problem. In fact, if you set the audio sample rate to 48 kHz, the problem is exacerbated even compared to Cowabunga Collection. So far MAME is the only emulator that matches the music tempo of original hardware. If anyone is aware of a proper fix to this please let me know.

Over a year ago, I learned how to play this game by watching your videos. After that, it took me about 3 months to finish with 1cc normal difficulty
What did you do to get rid of ciliary muscle spasm
Planned breaks and further distance. Cloud gazing helped a lot as they tend to be much further away compared to buildings and things you see on the ground. Going outside and listening to YT videos, or looking out my window while listening to things I don't need to look at.
@@AdrianTepezI could be wrong but the uv radiated by the clouds can damage the retina.
@@madozbeez7975cloud and sunshine mixing causes UV radiation in all directions. Looking at the clear sky itself, opposite side of where sun is shining. Should be fine.
Thank you for sharing this Adrian, and you'd think Konami would care. If they bothered to test it properly, which they didn't. and I've been gaming myself since before 80', so I grew up in the arcades. Disappointed to say the least, as I was thinking about grabbing that colllection
No problem. But to be fair, this is almost imperceptible and only really matters for people looking to do 1CCs (hardly anyone). If you were thinking of getting the collection, the music is not really something to get hung up on.

Hi, I have a question: on the smashbox arcade website I see there is also a TILT2 button that I don't see here. I was wondering if this was deliberate (and if so I'm curious why) or was the smashbox just updated within the last 2 years? Thanks!
Tilt 2 is available in the software but I don't use it for Melee. All other tilt options I've setup have values that let me cover all scenarios I need them for.

I honestly should've used radical mode sooner in that section. And yeah we both got sniped at the same moment, lol.
I'm glad for you! Would you kindly share some suggestions on how to improve eyesight? My eyes went from -2.25 and -2.5 to -2 and -2 when I last checked them. About your work stuff, I would suggest you turn on eye protection. It'll turn the screen reddish, since reddish light has lower frequencies than light that's towards blue or violet. Hence it harms the eyes lesser. Trying to reduce screen time, or taking breaks in between (for at least like 5-15 minutes) is still suggested. And try to wear glasses while you have to stare at screens. Another thing is, keep your eyes decently clean. It's always better. Just a splash or 3 of tap water on your face few times a day is good enough.
Appreciate the comment. However I should point out that this video is a few years old, and the issues I discussed here no longer apply to me. I haven't used glasses for several years and currently see 20/20. For quick suggestions, try cloud gazing. They're usually far enough away that your eyes get plenty of distance vision. im late to the party, but how do you dash manually in the arcade version? I can only seem to do it by hold either left or right.
There is no manual run in the original arcade version.

It's the tubular spin move being chained repeatedly. Team attacks can be tricky to do with random people, but it turns out if you practice teamwork (the way!) they're very easy to setup.

So, are you planning to do a no death challenge in 6P difficulty?
I would love to, but there are a couple hurdles. For one, red is playing on a delay, so it can be hard for them to react quickly in certain situations. They also cannot use a mic, so we have no communication, which is why you only hear me talking occasionally. But the big issue is stage 13. The amount of rock soldiers that appear is overwhelming. We'd need to solve that stage for deathless to be feasible.
